The Piikani Youth & Education Foundation

Our Vision:
Enhancing the development of a sustainable future for Piikani Nation members.
  Our Mission:
Piikani Youth and Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that serves Piikani Nation members by fulfulling the mandate set out in the Piikani Trust Agreement.  The mandate includes the development and implemantation of policies for scholarships, grants, awards and other financial assistance to Piikani Nation members pursuing adult education and post secondary education on and off the Piikani Reserve; and to provide and assist in funding for social, cultural, recreational, entrepreneurial and leaderhip programs and services for Piikani Nation members; and to acquire additional funding for education from other public and private sources.

The PYEF's goal is to assist Piikani Nation members by creating programs which cater to an array of interests and pursuits, from recreation to culture and entrepreneurial development. We enable youth to participate in activities that may otherwise be inaccessible.

Clients of the Foundation must be registered Piikani Nation members, but we offer assistance to applicants living both on and off-reserve. Applications can be delivered via fax, email, through our website or in person at our office. We're located in the Peigan Board of Education building in Brocket, on highway 786.

We also offer assistance filling out applications, or help with creating grant proposals. Monthly board meetings (for applications over $500.00 and appeals) are held on the third Monday of every month.  Please be advised that all Piikani Youth & Education Foundation Grants are subject to availibility of funds.

Our services are available to Piikani Nation members throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Montana. We have members in Brocket, Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek, Fort Macleod, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Calgary, Red Deer, and Edmonton Alberta, as well as the Kootenai Region, Okanagan/Interior, and Vancouver BC.
